Dr. Amanuel Mehreteab, Ph.D., M.A. and B.A.is the Managing Director of Delta Consultancy and Training. He has over 30 years of national and international work experience in developing and implementing national, donor, and United Nations (UN) policies on various peacebuilding, reintegration and stabilisation issues, particularly in post-conflict countries. He has worked in the capacity of Senior Policy Advisor, Director General and Commissioner of the Eritrean National Disarmament, Demobilisation, and Reintegration Programme, reporting to the Head of State. He worked as a member of UNDP Southern Sudan’s Senior Management Team; Senior SSR/DDR expert; and Senior Livelihood Expert. He led and managed big peacebuilding and stabilisation programmes, particularly on community security and DDR which, among others, involved supervision of various professional staff. With respect to programme development, he led programming of various peacebuilding and stabilisation programmes in post-conflict countries (South Sudan, Eritrea, Nepal, Cameroon, Sudan, Uganda, Mozambique, Papa New Guinea, Rwanda, Ghana, Germany, etc.). He also supported development of donor and UN strategies through participatory approaches to ensure national ownership and alignment with government priorities. He has excellent skills and experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods and analysis.
